Our Team

Lisa Ahn, Director of Consulting

Lisa joined LeaderSpring February 2016. Her passion is in transforming leaders and organizations through cultivating authenticity and whole-heartedness. Lisa brings over 13 years of organizational development, project management, and program development skills from the non-profit and education sectors. Prior to joining Leaderspring, Lisa was the Director of Project Management and Strategic Initiatives in the Talent Division at Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), where she focused on strengthening cross-divisional alignment, organizational effectiveness, and staff wellness. 

Originally from NYC, Lisa started her career working in various NYC-based educational non-profits in developing programs focused on access to higher education and counseling students of color for college completion. 

Lisa has a BA in History from Williams College and a M.S. in Organizational Change Management from The New School. Lisa was also trained at Stanford Graduate School of Business to facilitate interpersonal dynamics groups, which support students in developing their emotional intelligence and effective communications skills. 

In her free time, she enjoys exploring Bay area trails, cooking, and traveling.

Jen Marquez, Program Associate

Jen Marquez joined LeaderSpring in August of 2013. She is a graduate from the Americorps Public Ally Silicon Valley/ San Francisco program as well as a graduate from the University of California Santa Cruz with a major in American Studies and minor in Legal Studies.

Her passion is creating spaces for, advocating for, and connecting competent and confident people. She is a firm believer in capacity building with a strong commitment to achieving social equity through leadership development and people development. Her educational, professional, and personal background has shaped her into a hard-working, versatile, and fun-loving individual.

 

In addition to coming to LeaderSpring with a strong skill set for event planning and program management, she was a student-athlete from UC Santa Cruz and loves to spend her off time with her family and partner.

Renato Almanzor, Sr. ​Director of Programs

Dr. Almanzor earned his Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. He has also been a professor at Argosy University, Alliant International University, and the University of San Francisco. He continues to serve on dissertation committees, supervise graduate interns, and teach courses as an adjunct professor. 

In addition to having served as Director of the Family & Community Office for the Oakland Unified School District, Dr. Almanzor supported the design of high achieving equitable schools, and coached principals and teacher leaders when he worked with the Bay Area Coalition of Equitable Schools.

Dr. Almanzor serves or has served as Chair of the School Site Council for his son’s school, the Planning and Oversight Committee for the Oakland Fund for Children & Youth, President on the Board of Directors for the Oakland Asian Students Educational Services, Board of Directors for the San Francisco Coalition of Essential Small Schools, and actively supports many community and multicultural groups, especially Asian Pacific and Pilipino organizations, student groups, and community-based agencies.
